All in Hell

What’s the difference between the snake and lamb

Both of them keep their heads to the ground

One serves nobody the other the crown

But they’re both in hell already

What’s the difference between the prophet and whore

They both bend down to please their lord

One is enraptured the other is bored

And they’re both in hell already

Dance on silly men

With your piety, loneliness, sin

Let your suffering in

And we’re all in hell already

What’s the difference between the heart and the knife

They both work to keep the body alive

But one will decay if the other survives

And they’re both in hell already

What’s the difference between the vulture and fly

They’re both faithful companions when you die

But one is fairweather, the other for life

And they’re both in hell already

What’s the difference between devil and child

They’re both without laws, they both are wild

One is experienced the other is mild

And they’re both in hell already

What’s the difference between the rich and the poor

Neither knows what they are living for

Both of them laugh and both of them mourn

And we’re all in hell already
